Quick Tips : Rosewater

Not many know the effectiveness and usefulness of rosewater. In addition to smelling lovely, rosewater is a multipurpose product. One bottle of rosewater may just replace a dozen bottles of other – expensive – regular cosmetic products.

Here are just a few of the things that rosewater can be used for:

Makeup Remover: Instead of spending money buying expensive little bottles of makeup remover, invest in a bottle of Rosewater – it’ll last you much longer, and the cost is significantly less. It is very effective at removing even the toughest makeup, and at the same time is super gentle and light on your skin.

Hair Treatment: Take a cup of rosewater into the shower, and use it as a final rinse on your hair. Not only will it condition your dry and damaged hair, it will give your hair a shine it has never seen before. You may also add rosewater into your shampoo for softer, shinier, and refreshed hair. The beautiful smell will just be an added bonus to your new healthy hair!

Eye Brightener: Red and puffy eyes? Dark circles? Not to worry! One of rosewater’s main benefits is the wonders it works on eye bags and dark circle. Soak a couple of cotton balls in the rosewater and apply it around your eyes for 5-10 minutes. Doing this will leave your face looking brighter and rejuvenated.

Aftershave Treatment: Rosewater’s anti-inflammatory properties make it the perfect product to calm red and irritated skin. Apply rosewater onto a cotton ball and dab the cotton ball over irritated skin after a shave session. The rosewater will immediately relieve your irritation, and will leave your skin smoother than ever.

Makeup Freshener: Use rosewater to revamp your makeup when it has started looking dull and cake-y after a couple hours. Spray rosewater on your face and you will notice a new glow to your makeup!

Perfume: Rosewater may even be used as a light fragrance to give off an every-day sweet smelling scent. The smell is subtle, pretty, and in no way overwhelming. It is perfect for people who are allergic to strong smells.

Toner: If you suffer from acne, discoloration, or redness of skin, then rosewater is for you! After you wash your face with a cleanser, wet a cotton ball with rosewater and apply it to your face. The redness will go down almost instantly. Rosewater is recommended for treating skin irritations because it decreases inflammation, hydrates and calms the skin, and reduces present bacteria on your skin.
