As Far As The Eye Can - Cream?

Posted by Eve Hansen on

Most people use their everyday moisturizer on their entire face – including the area around their eyes. Although moisturizers are great and necessary, they are not formulated for the sensitive area around our eyes. Using a separate eye cream or gel has proven to show increased results and benefits for the skin around one’s eyes. Eye gels can significantly reduce the many dreaded signs of aging: fine lines, wrinkles, and dark circles.

The skin around the eyes is more fragile, more prone to irritation and dryness, and quick to show age and fatigue, therefore it is extremely important to show special care and attention to this area. Skin care products specifically for the area around the eyes tend to be thicker because they are formulated precisely for the delicateness of that part of the skin. Eye creams/gels contain more oil than a regular facial lotion, and have a lot of active ingredients aimed at the problems we come across around the eyes. The area around our eyes is thinner than the rest of our skin and therefore absorbs ingredients more readily.

Because this area is so sensitive, is extremely important to be selective when choosing which eye cream/gel to use. However, once you have found the right product, it is guaranteed that caring specifically for the eye area will bring forth only positive results!
